Put the boys to bed the other night and read them Dr. Seuss's 'Oh the places you'll go' which is one of my favourite books of all time. We'd been through all the bits about having brains in our heads and feet in our shoes, we'd talked about the going down of not-so-good streets and how mind maker uppers make up their minds as well as the inevitable conversation about the uselessness of the Waiting Place and I finished up the book .. which goes as follows:

The boy had a point. Eventually we agreed that the taking on the world would just have to wait until tomorrow. But with the summer holidays just round the corner, I'm looking forward to it.
