Tots 100 Film Club Review: Scooby Doo Laff-A-Lympics

We love a good Scooby Dooby Doo cartoon in the Pants Household. So when those nice people at the Tots 100 Film Club asked if we'd like to review the Scooby Doo Laff-A-Lympics Spooky Games we jumped at the chance. The boys were beside themselves with excitement.

The first section is a brand new Scooby Doo adventure with Scooby and the Gang. The boys loved it.

The rest of the DVD is a weird hybrid of old cartoon characters in competition with the Scooby Gang in various places across the world. So there was Captain Caveman*, Fred Flintstone and a whole variety of other familiar faces (well if you are over 30) in action.

I wasn't such a fan. It was just a bit, well, odd. The boys weren't fans either - they haven't asked to watch the DVD again, unlike Chill Out Scooby which is seldom out of our DVD player. So overall, not a big thumbs up from us. I should point out though that this puts us at odds with a lot of other reviewers, as a quick internet search to see what others thought of it pulled up a lot of glowing reviews. Ah well, each to their own. Didn't do it for us.

*note to self. Never, ever let them watch Captain Caveman again if you want to retain any form of sanity and ability to have a small corner of relative quiet without the screams of 'CAPTAIN CAAAAAAAAAAVEMAN!' echoing around your poor, battered ears. It was not a good couple of days.

Disclaimer - we were sent a free copy of the Scooby Doo Laff-A-Lympics to review by Warner as part of our participation in the Tots 100 Film club.
